It's fingerprint-resistant, too. If you're worried about smudges forming on your surfaces, use a cleaning product that removes fingerprints with no harsh chemicals.

LG counter-depth fridges are compact and offer a lot of space. These counter-depth refrigerators are also more affordable than standard-depth French-door refrigerators, and can remove the need for an under-counter smaller freezer.  LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception and offers the capacity of a standard refrigerator in contemporary, sleek design with an internal dispenser that makes it easy to access filtered water.

The refrigerator is equipped with door cooling that makes use of vents on the door of the fridge and freezer to allow cold air to enter. It prevents hot spots and helps keep temperatures more consistent throughout the fridge.

This LG refrigerator stood out during our tests. It has ample space to serve a family, but we did notice a few irritating flaws. First the freezer drawers do not remain at the temperature we'd like. The temperature of the middle drawer reached 41° during our peak use test, which is the temperature needed to freeze ice cream or other frozen food items. The temperature of the rest of the freezer remained at around 36 degrees.

Another issue is that refrigerator doors have handles that are sunken on the inside and beneath, which make it hard for shorter people to comfortably guide them closed. It may seem trivial, but we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators, which make them more convenient to open and close.

The fridge is expensive, but it's worth it for anyone who wants an ultra-sleek look in their kitchen. This fridge is recommended for those who want to upgrade their current fridge or are building new homes and want to have a seamless look in the kitchen.

If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this design without the additional height, a counter-depth refrigerator is the way to go. This model from Frigidaire, which we've tested extensively and has received an above average rating in our evaluations due to its low cost and thoughtful features, such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

But it also has a couple of nagging issues. Our tests show that the FGHB2866PF can get very hot often in the freezer and get uncomfortable hot in the hottest shelves of the fridge. Our heat maps show how the temperature fluctuates minute by minute. The orange region in the upper right corner, which is the butter bin, is especially warm throughout the time we tested. This might not seem too awful at first glance however, it means that the fridge is spending a large portion of its time above 33 degrees.

It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be a factor for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's just not a particularly great refrigerator, and the absence of top-of-the-line features and durable construction make it hard to recommend over more expensive options at this price point.

This Frigidaire refrigerator is similar to the stainless steel version that you might see at the local store for appliances. It's a safe option with a brushed finish that looks good and is impervious to smudges, but it does not stand out or distinguish itself from competitors that have more features and less expensive.
